g smooth warehouse operations, ensuring inventory accuracy, and supporting shipping and receiving functions. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to safety standards, possess excellent manual handling skills, and have experience in warehouse management systems.
Key Responsibilities:
• Operate forklifts such as reach trucks, cherry pickers, clamp trucks, and Hi-Lo forklifts to load, unload, and transport materials safely throughout the warehouse
• Perform order picking using barcode scanning technology to ensure accurate fulfillment of customer orders
• Load and unload shipments efficiently while adhering to safety protocols and manual handling procedures
• Conduct routine inspections and minor repairs on equipment to maintain optimal operation
• Assist with inventory management tasks including stock counts, cycle counts, and updating warehouse management systems
• Support shipping and receiving activities by verifying incoming and outgoing shipments against documentation
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment while following OSHA safety standards in production areas
• Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize warehouse distribution processes
• Use manual handling techniques for heavy lifting tasks while prioritizing safety at all times
• Ensure compliance with all safety standards related to heavy equipment operation and materials handling
Experience
• Proven experience operating various types of warehouse equipment such as reach trucks, cherry pickers, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and lift trucks
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and barcode scanning for logistics purposes
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety standards in production environments
• Experience in shipping & receiving operations within a distribution center or warehouse setting
• Strong understanding of inventory management practices including stock control and materials handling procedures
• Ability to perform basic math calculations relevant to weighing, measuring, or counting stock items
• Prior experience with heavy lifting and manual handling techniques required for safe material movement
• Warehouse supervisor experience is a plus for candidates interested in growth opportunities within warehouse operations
• Skills in equipment repair or maintenance are advantageous but not mandatory
