Join our dynamic warehouse team as a Reach Truck Operator, working on 1st and 2nd shifts to ensure smooth and efficient distribution operations. Responsibilities
• Safely operate reach trucks, cherry pickers, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and Hi-Lo forklifts to load, unload, and transport materials throughout the warehouse.
• Perform order picking with precision using barcode scanning systems to fulfill customer orders efficiently.
• Assist in inventory management by conducting regular stock counts, updating warehouse management systems (WMS), and ensuring accurate recordkeeping.
• Support shipping and receiving functions by verifying shipments, inspecting goods for damage, and preparing items for dispatch.
• Maintain adherence to forklift safety protocols and OSHA standards during all equipment operation activities.
• Conduct routine equipment inspections and minor repairs to ensure machinery remains in optimal working condition.
• Follow manual handling procedures for heavy lifting and materials handling tasks to prevent injuries and promote a safe work environment.
Skills
• Proven experience operating reach trucks, cherry pickers, clamp trucks, forklift safety protocols, and other material handling equipment.
• Strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory control, barcode scanning for logistics, and shipping & receiving processes.
• Knowledge of warehouse distribution operations, heavy equipment operation, manual handling techniques, and OSHA safety standards.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations for inventory counts, weight measurements, and order accuracy.
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to follow safety procedures consistently while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
• Prior experience in warehouse supervision or supporting warehouse operations is a plus.
