The Narmco Group is an industry leader in the automotive industry for metal stamping and assembly. As a result of continuously growing our professional team, we have a challenging career opportunity for a Raw Materials / Steel Buyer in our Corporate Purchasing Department. The candidate for this position will be responsible for the procurement of all raw materials / steel for production in our fast-paced manufacturing facilities.

Wage: $31 to $41 per hour
Responsibilities
- Competitively quote in a timely fashion for all steel and aluminum material, taking into consideration price, quality and delivery
- Ensure appropriate supply base is used for quoting and eventually awarding the product. Must identify if a customer dictated source is required prior to tendering quote
- Responsible for the follow-up of all steel claims for manufacturing costs encountered at the facilities
- Responsible for resolving accounting inconsistencies in invoicing to Contract Agreements
- Must have a strong understanding of manufacturing MRP - supplier releasing
Requirements
- College diploma or University degree in Business Admin with a focus on supply chain or purchasing
- 1-3 years administrative experience in a purchasing role with exposure to raw materials / steel buying.
- Must be bondable
- Travel is required. Valid drivers license for Windsor and Ontario, with occasional plant and vendor visits to US and Mexico
- Demonstrate ability to work with large volumes of data and analyzing information
- Very detailed oriented and a high level of accuracy and thoroughness
- Proficient computer related skills, particularly Microsoft Excel and accurate data entry skills
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal with the ability to communicate with all levels of the organization
