Experienced RAM / Cummins Diesel Technician Lakes Diesel Service | Mankato, MN Pay: $45–$60 per hour (based on experience and qualifications) Job Description Lakes Diesel Service is seeking an experienced RAM/Cummins Diesel Technician to join our growing team. While RAM/Cummins will be your primary specialty, this is a well-rounded diesel repair position. Technicians will also perform general vehicle repairs, including brakes, steering, suspension, and other mechanical systems, as well as service Ford Power Stroke and GM Duramax trucks as needed. We're looking for a motivated, dependable technician who takes pride in accurate diagnostics, quality workmanship, and doing the job right the first time. Responsibilities Diagnose and repair RAM trucks equipped with Cummins diesel engines. Troubleshoot engine performance, fuel systems, emissions/aftertreatment, electrical, and drivability concerns. Perform general vehicle repairs, including brakes, steering, suspension, drivetrain, and other mechanical systems. Diagnose, service, and repair Ford Power Stroke and GM Duramax trucks as needed. Utilize OEM diagnostic equipment, wiring diagrams, and manufacturer service information. Complete digital vehicle inspections (DVIs) and accurately document diagnostic findings and repairs. Maintain high standards of workmanship, productivity, and shop safety. Qualifications Professional experience diagnosing and repairing RAM/Cummins diesel trucks. Strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic abilities. Experience with general automotive and light/medium-duty truck repair. Ability to independently diagnose complex vehicle concerns. Dependable, self-motivated, and committed to quality workmanship. Ability to work efficiently in a flat-rate environment. Must have basic personal hand tools. Compensation & Benefits $45–$60 per hour for qualified technicians. Regular performance reviews with opportunities for wage advancement. No weekends — Monday through Friday. Paid diagnostic time. Paid digital vehicle inspections (DVIs). Shop-provided OEM scan tools, including MDI2, MDP+, and VCM3. Shop-provided specialty tools. Uniforms provided. Daily lunch and snacks provided.
