Rotating Schedule | Strong Earning Potential Schedule: DuPont Schedule 12-hour shifts 6-6 $23/hour starting pay $28/hour (after successful training completion) Full-Time NEW LOCATION: 8320 NC - 150, Terrell, NC 28673 These are just a few of the benefits you can expect from working with Savage: A culture that appreciates our Team Members Generous Paid Time Off (“PTO”) and paid holidays Profit Sharing Excellent benefits including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, 401(k) A culture of safety A commitment to helping our Team Members do things that they never dreamed possible What you need to be successful in this role: Assist with spotting cars on the correct track; move empty cars and build the outbound train Responsible for daily railcar movement Learn to operate a locomotive - we provide training and certification Visually inspect rail cars and perform minor repairs Prepare necessary paperwork associated with the movement of the railcars Understand and adhere to rail rules and safety regulations as prescribed by Savage, our customer, and the Railroad Work 12-hour rotating shifts One year or more of Rail Industry experience is a plus Work experience in an industrial environment is also a plus Key strengths of the successful locomotive operator: Willing to complete general safety, switchman, locomotive, and distributive power training Understands the importance of good communication with the customer and other Savage employees Understands the importance of customer service and is able to deliver service to the customer professionally Strong communication and listening skills, including the ability to read, write, and understand English Physical Requirements: Climb on and off railcars and locomotives Pass the plant's site requirement test Work outdoors in all weather conditions Walk 1+ miles per day on uneven terrain, etc. Ability to work, walk, and stand on uneven ballast surfaces for long periods of time Additional Information: A complete job description is available upon request Savage is an Equal Opportunity Employer and maintains a drug-free workplace California Residents Job Application Privacy Notice You may view available jobs at www.savageco.com/careers and apply using the online job posting.
