Key Responsibilities:
• Inspect and repair railcars and freight car equipment
• Apply piping, valves, guards, shrouds, and covers
• Perform cutting, welding, grinding, soldering, and brazing
• Maintain trucks, structures, braking, and draft systems
• Report equipment problems and complete required documentation
Requirements:
• Good mechanical aptitude and railcar component knowledge
• Effective use of hand tools and equipment
• Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather
• Valid Class 5 driver’s and forklift licenses
