Three years of professional administrative experience in media relations, marketing or journalism are required. Must possess a Driver license. Additional administrative experience to include media relations, marketing, or journalism may substitute for the required college education on a year for year basis. Tests Required The written examination will evaluate knowledge of the Department of Transportation and Public Works (DTPW) rules, regulations, procedures, safety, supervisory practices and report writing. Lehman Center, 6601 NW 72 Avenue, Miami, FL 33166 from Kanesha Johnson Gipson, Clifford Givens or Veronica James during the hours of 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. from Tuesday, October 27, 2026 until Tuesday, November 10, 2026. Seniority points will be added to the score of employees qualifying on the competitive examination at the rate of 0.02308 per pay period of continuous, satisfactory, full-time service in the class indicated on this announcement to a maximum credit of ten years of service or six points. Only those individuals deemed ineligible to take the examination will be notified in writing by Miami-Dade County, DTPW Human Resources.
