Our sales team counts on accurate schedules. Our stations count on broadcast logs that are complete, correct, and ready on time. This is the person who helps make all of that happen. Stephens Media Group is looking for an exceptionally capable individual to manage commercial scheduling and traffic operations for our Tulsa radio cluster. This is a critical position with a direct impact on our advertisers, our on-air product, and our revenue. You will join a highly competent team in a great working environment. We are looking for someone who brings the same level of ability, urgency, and pride in doing the job well. You need to learn quickly, work efficiently, and get the details right. Radio traffic is the behind-the-scenes operation that turns advertising orders into daily commercial schedules, called logs. It requires organization, sound judgment, strong computer skills, and the ability to keep multiple moving pieces on track. The pace is demanding. Deadlines are tied to airtime. Orders change, commercial scripts get updated, and scheduling conflicts need solutions. You must be able to respond quickly, stay composed, and maintain accuracy when several priorities compete for your attention. For someone who enjoys mastering complex systems, solving problems, and taking ownership of important work, this can be a deeply satisfying role. You will: Build and maintain daily commercial logs for multiple radio stations, ensuring commercials are scheduled according to each advertiser’s order. Enter and update advertising orders , carefully checking dates, rates, commercial lengths, quantities, dayparts, and special instructions. Manage commercial inventory , resolve scheduling conflicts, maintain advertiser separation, and communicate availability concerns to sales. Coordinate commercial scripts and audio readiness with sales and production so the correct message is ready for its scheduled airtime. Handle revisions and last-minute changes accurately, communicating clearly with everyone affected. Reconcile completed logs against actual airings , investigate discrepancies, and coordinate approved replacements for missed commercials. Support accurate billing and reporting through complete records, verified air times, and timely follow-through on network and advertiser requirements. Meet daily, weekend, and holiday preparation deadlines , keeping schedules and materials ready before they are needed. The person who succeeds here will bring: Exceptional learning speed. You can absorb detailed instructions, learn unfamiliar software, and apply what you have learned with increasing independence. Speed with accuracy. You move work forward quickly while checking the details that determine whether it is correct. Strong ownership. You follow assignments through completion, flag problems early, and take responsibility for resolving them. Excellent organization. You can manage multiple stations, orders, deadlines, and changes without losing track of commitments. Practical problem-solving ability. You recognize conflicts, ask focused questions, and work toward a solution. A constructive, can-do attitude. You communicate respectfully, respond well to feedback, and help the team succeed under pressure. Strong computer skills. You are comfortable working with spreadsheets, detailed data, and multiple software applications. Radio or broadcast traffic experience is a strong plus, but it is not required. We welcome highly capable candidates from other industries. Experience in scheduling, logistics, operations, accounting support, or other work requiring precision and firm deadlines may translate well. What matters most is demonstrated ability to learn a demanding job quickly and perform it consistently. You will work with people who know their jobs, care about the…
