Quality Technician The Manufacturing Operations and Quality teams seek to hire a Quality Technician to support production and quality objectives by ensuring incoming materials, components, and finished goods meet sonnen's quality standards. Reporting to the Quality Manager, the ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and committed to maintaining high-quality standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The mission of the Quality Technician is to protect product quality and customer satisfaction by verifying incoming materials against established quality criteria, identifying and documenting nonconforming products, and supporting continuous improvement activities throughout the manufacturing process. This role is directly involved in ensuring that materials entering production meet sonnen's requirements and contribute to the delivery of reliable, high-quality products to our customers. Key Responsibilities Perform incoming inspection of materials, components, and subassemblies using established quality checklists, specifications, drawings, and work instructions. Verify incoming shipments meet quality requirements prior to release into inventory or production. Identify, document, and communicate nonconforming materials to the Quality and Supply Chain teams. Create and maintain accurate inspection records and quality documentation. Work cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Engineering, and Warehouse teams to support quality objectives. Support containment activities related to supplier quality issues and internal quality concerns. Assist with material reviews, quarantined inventory evaluations, and disposition activities. Support root cause investigations and corrective action activities by collecting data and documenting findings. Participate in inventory audits, cycle counts, and material verification activities when required. Monitor quality trends and report recurring issues to Quality leadership. Ensure calibration status of inspection tools and equipment is maintained and documented. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in accordance with company policies. Adhere to all safety policies, quality procedures, and manufacturing best practices. Perform other quality-related duties and special projects as assigned. Skills and Qualifications 1-3 years of quality inspection, manufacturing, warehouse, or related experience in an industrial environment. Experience performing inspections using checklists, drawings, specifications, or work instructions. Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify deviations from established standards. Experience using measuring equipment such as calipers, tape measures, multimeters, or similar inspection tools preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Outlook. Experience with ERP systems such as SAP or similar manufacturing software preferred. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to document findings clearly and maintain accurate records. Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities. Self-motivated with a strong sense of accountability and ownership. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented manufacturing environment. Continuous improvement mindset with a willingness to learn and develop new skills. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday. Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds. Ability to safely use ladders, pallet jacks, and other warehouse or manufacturing equipment as required. Ability to visually inspect products and components with a high level of attention to detail.
