The candidate will participate in a 6-month apprenticeship. Job Description We require a skilled Quality Receiving Inspector with an eye for detail. This individual must be reliable, hard-working and physically fit to lift boxes of product up to 50 lbs. This individual will inspect products both visually and with measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, gauges and scales. The main focus of the job is to ensure all products are of high quality and meet the relevant specifications. Qualifications and Requirements College diploma Very good mathematical skills Attention to detail Ability to read engineering drawings and use precise measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers and gauges. Good communication skills in English, both written and verbal Ability to problem solve Excellent time management and organizational skills Able to work in Ontario, Canada Physically ability to lift multiple boxes of up to 50 pounds. Responsibilities Receives delivery of boxes of products from the couriers and determines that they are in good condition. Prioritizes inspection of products depending on which orders need to be filled first. Examines parts against appropriate standards and customer's drawings using measuring equipment (calipers, gauges, micrometers). Completes all paperwork neatly. Reports rejected products to Management. Relocates stock. At the end of the first year of employment, success is measured by customer satisfaction measured by the number of rejections of products sent to customers. The highest success rate would be zero rejections.
