What you'll do
• Assist with daily quality operations and special projects.
• Use lab instruments like optical and scanning electron microscopy, chemical analysis, and mechanical testing equipment to characterize materials.
• Help with data collection, analysis, and reporting for root cause investigations and process improvements.
• Maintain the materials lab by assisting with equipment calibration and organization.
• Support the creation of material and process specifications and laboratory procedures.
• Work with engineering and manufacturing teams to learn quality processes and ensure compliance with standards.
What you'll need
• Currently pursuing a degree in Materials Science and Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Completed coursework in materials science and engineering.
• Basic familiarity with CAD software like NX or SolidWorks and data analysis tools such as Excel.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects independently.
• Strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn.
• Ability to work effectively with internal teams and external partners.
• Adaptability to changing business needs.

• Location: Concord, North Carolina.
• Work Modality: On-site.

• This is a paid, full-time internship.
• Physical requirements include the ability to stand, walk, and move in diverse environments such as race shops and commercial facilities, as well as comfort working in loud or high-pressure settings.
