Quality Engineer

We are currently looking for a Quality Engineer to become part of our team in Beloit, WI. The successful applicant will possess the following background and professional capabilities: Essential Qualifications Possess a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, hold an ASQ Certified Quality Engineer credential, or demonstrate equivalent professional training. Bring 2 to 3 years of direct experience working as a Quality, Process, or Manufacturing Engineer. Demonstrate a solid understanding of AIAG PPAP standards. Apply statistical methodologies, specifically SPC and gauge R&R, to ensure process accuracy. Utilize your ISO 9000 background, specifically as a Lead Auditor, to maintain high standards. Manage vendor and supplier relationships by conducting audits, evaluating performance, and driving necessary corrective actions. Preferred Qualifications Gain efficiency in production through Design for Manufacture (DFM) expertise. Utilize your practical skills with Faro Arms and various gauging tools to support tooling checks, calibrations, and qualifications. Contribute to a culture of efficiency by participating in Lean, Poka-Yoke, and continuous improvement initiatives. Analyze customer feedback and warranty programs to improve overall product reliability. Core Responsibilities Collaborate with Supply Chain to select and evaluate vendors, establish incoming inspection standards, and oversee supplier corrective actions to ensure high-quality inputs. Manage the disposition of nonconforming materials while leading root cause investigations and implementing effective corrective measures. Evaluate warranty coverage alongside subject matter experts and compile performance metrics for management review. Partner with Engineering to conduct risk assessments using PFMEA and DFM, which helps ensure the team delivers robust design verification and validation. Oversee measurement systems analysis, including MSA and GR&R, while managing calibration schedules and Faro Arm operations to maintain precise data integrity. Develop quality reports and interpret data trends to help the organization focus on high-priority improvement opportunities. Execute internal ISO audits and maintain up-to-date documentation for the Quality Management System. Drive operational excellence by tracking continuous improvement projects and utilizing Lean and Poka-Yoke methodologies.
