What You'll Do As Central Supply Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing the ordering, receiving, storage, and distribution of supplies and equipment, ensuring departments have what they need to provide our Veterans with exceptional care every day. Key responsibilities include: Process and confirm purchase orders in accordance with procurement policies, including written confirmation of telephone orders Receive, inspect, and reconcile incoming merchandise against invoices, purchase orders, and packing slips; report damaged or incorrect shipments to vendors as needed Organize, store, and catalog supplies and equipment for efficient handling, proper preservation, and easy retrieval Fill and process departmental requisitions for routine and emergency supplies in accordance with established policies Maintain accurate, up-to-date inventory and ensure proper cost allocation across departments Ensure vendors provide required safety data sheets (SDSs) in compliance with OSHA regulations; report issues to the purchasing agent Assist in forecasting supply needs and recommend procurement process improvements to the purchasing agent Maintain supply and storage areas in a clean, safe, and orderly condition; follow all safety procedures when handling supplies and equipment Perform autoclave duties as needed Attend staff meetings, in-service training, and on-the-job training as scheduled or directed Perform other related duties as assigned Qualifications High school diploma or GED required Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English Knowledge of supply practices, procedures, and guidelines Ability to make sound, independent decisions in a timely manner Ability to interact tactfully and professionally with staff, residents, families, visitors, government agencies, and the general public Ability to work harmoniously with other personnel and minimize waste of supplies and equipment Proactive in identifying and incorporating new methods and best practices into existing procedures Ability to follow written and oral instructions Join a Mission That Matters When you join HMR Veterans Services, you're not just starting a job—you're becoming part of a team dedicated to serving those who have served our country.
