This role supervises purchasing staff, manages supplier relationships, and negotiates pricing and contracts with a focus on cost control, quality, and on-time delivery. Collaboration with production planning, engineering, and inventory teams to align material availability to support production demands.Key ResponsibilitiesLead, coach, develop and supervise a team of buyers and purchasing staffTrain, assign, and delegate responsibilities/projectsFollow up on performance progress, audit work, and provide feedback to each team member Manage sourcing of materials and components to meet cost, quality, and delivery targetsTrack and control bill of materials (BOM) costs, especially during product launchesEnsure on-time delivery and supplier capacity to support production schedulesCoordinate program reviews, monitor progress, and manage risksDevelop bid lists and support sourcing strategies aligned with company goals and commodity strategiesIdentify cost-savings and improvement opportunitie…
