Purchasing Supervisor

What We Need As a Purchasing Supervisor, you'll oversee the procurement process for multiple product lines, coordinate and support a team of buyers, and implement best-in-class purchasing practices. Your impact will be key in optimizing inventory levels, improving on-time delivery, and streamlining processes to enhance operational performance. What You'll Be Doing Recruit, hire, train, and evaluate purchasing staff. Direct daily workflow and schedules of the department. Conduct performance evaluations and address disciplinary issues. Develop and implement purchasing strategies and policies. Ensure compliance with organizational procurement policies and procedures. Oversee the end-to-end procurement process, from requisition to delivery. Evaluate suppliers based on quality, timeliness, and price. Ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods and services. Manage inventory levels to minimize costs and ensure availability. Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth operations. May be involved in developing and implementing purchasing and contract management instructions, policies, and procedures. May research and evaluate vendors to compare pricing and services. May be required to perform other related duties as assigned What You Will Need To Be Successful Bachelor degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field Minimum 3 year of experience in a Manufacturing environment using all of the required skills Must possess a good understanding of forecasting and MRP Must have excellent communication, presentation and problem solving skills. The ability to work effectively within a team environment, including leading a project team. Must be able to effectively manage multiple and changing priorities. Proficient in SAP planning and production functionality and Microsoft Office.
