Purchasing Supervisor

G&S Foods, LLC, a growing snack foods manufacturer located in Hanover, PA, is seeking a proactive, hands-on, and detail-oriented Purchasing Supervisor to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent Excel skills, strong communication abilities, and a collaborative team-oriented approach. This position will work closely with the purchasing team and production departments to ensure the timely and cost-effective procurement of materials. Key Responsibilities: Sourcing & Cost Savings: Utilize strategic sourcing, spend analytics, and RFP management to negotiate prices, finalize contracts, and identify cost-saving opportunities. Supplier Management: Build strong vendor relationships, evaluate pricing/service, and handle escalations or quality issues. Inventory & Purchasing: Place purchase orders, track customer POs, manage raw materials/finished goods inventory, and conduct monthly verifications. Cross-Functional Communication: Coordinate closely with production, scheduling, sales, and management to communicate material delays and project updates. Logistics & Admin: Schedule deliveries, ensure timely order fulfillment, and process receiving documentation for accounting. Process Improvement: Develop and implement supply chain policies, systems, controls, and best practices. Education & Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous supervisory experience is a must. Experience in purchasing within the food manufacturing industry is required. Required Skills and Abilities: Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent time management and organizational abilities. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to collaborate across departments. Proficient in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
