Purchasing Specialist – Manufacturing

Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Purchasing Specialist to join a manufacturing company in Norfolk, MA. This position will be responsible for purchasing raw materials used in the production of various chemicals and coatings . The ideal candidate will have previous purchasing experience within a manufacturing environment, preferably with experience purchasing raw materials. Responsibilities Purchase raw materials needed to support manufacturing and production schedules Monitor and control raw material inventory levels Generate and manage purchase orders (POs) Audit and post daily production batch tickets Maintain accurate inbound and outbound inventory data within the ERP system Manage supplier relationships and negotiate pricing and delivery terms Maintain the approved supplier list Identify, research, and evaluate potential new suppliers Work closely with production and other departments to ensure materials are available when needed Requirements High School Diploma or GED 3+ years of purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment Previous experience purchasing raw materials is strongly preferred Chemical/manufacturing industry experience preferred Experience working with ERP systems Strong math and analytical skills Strong Excel skills Excellent organizational and communication skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Pay: $70,000–$75,000/year If you have purchasing experience in manufacturing and are familiar with raw materials, ERP systems, and inventory management, apply today! #KPB Pay: $70,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year Work Location: In person
