Purchasing Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Purchasing Specialist to join our team in Islandia, NY. This is a great opportunity for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and experienced with purchasing and vendor management. What You’ll Do: Manage daily purchasing activities, including purchase orders, order tracking, confirmations, and vendor follow-up Enter and maintain purchasing information accurately in NetSuite Work directly with vendors to obtain pricing, availability, lead times, and delivery information Monitor open POs and follow up on late or outstanding deliveries Coordinate with Operations, Inventory, Accounting, and other departments Review inventory levels and assist with replenishment and material planning Maintain accurate vendor and purchasing records Resolve discrepancies involving POs, pricing, quantities, and deliveries Assist with identifying cost savings and process improvements Provide administrative support to the Purchasing/Operations team What We’re Looking For: Previous purchasing/procurement experience Hands-on NetSuite experience is a MUST Strong organizational and follow-up skills Excellent attention to detail and accuracy Strong vendor communication and relationship-management skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Strong Excel and computer skills BENEFITS We offer eligible employees competitive pay and access to a range of benefits and support programs based on assignment type, schedule, length of employment, and eligibility requirements, including medical, dental, vision, prescription coverage, short-term disability, 401(k), employee assistance, childcare assistance, discounts, paid holidays, and longevity bonuses.
