We are currently seeking a Purchasing Specialist in South Bend, Indiana. This integral role is responsible for maintaining a network of high quality, reliable, suppliers ensuring cost effective and efficient purchases of parts for our customers. Other responsibilities include: Maintain networks of vendors to supply needed items that optimize performance and business operations. Assess vendors for reliability, quality, and price. Compare and evaluate options. Consistently follow-up with suppliers for changes and proactively communicate with customers. Partner vendors ensuring the best outcomes for our customers. Track orders and communicate with customers daily. Enter data into QuickBooks. The successful candidate possesses: 3+ years of previous purchasing experience with the ability to handle a high volume of transactions. Previous QuickBooks experience. Top notch communication skills with strong attention to detail. A professional demeanor with vendors, customers, and team members. A strong emphasis on customer service. Dependability with strong time management and organizational skills. A high quality work ethic and takes pride in assisting customers.
