Purchasing Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Buyer – Glass Products to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the glass industry and a strong background in purchasing and supplier management. Key Responsibilities: Purchase architectural and construction glass products based on customer orders and company requirements. Source, evaluate, and maintain relationships with glass manufacturers and suppliers. Request and compare quotations and negotiate pricing, payment terms, lead times, and other purchasing conditions. Prepare and manage purchase orders and follow up on production schedules. Coordinate with suppliers, sales, logistics, and other departments to ensure orders are completed accurately and on time. Monitor product specifications, quality requirements, purchasing costs, and delivery schedules. Maintain purchasing records, supplier information, pricing, and related documentation. Assist with resolving quality, quantity, specification, and delivery issues with suppliers. Qualifications: Minimum 5 years of purchasing/procurement experience in the glass industry is required. Strong knowledge of glass products, specifications, pricing, and manufacturing processes. Experience working directly with glass manufacturers and suppliers. Strong negotiation, communication, and supplier-management skills. Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities. Ability to manage multiple purchase orders and priorities simultaneously. Experience with international purchasing/importing is an asset. Pay: $48,000.00-$70,000.00 per year Work Location: In person
