Shift time: 06:00-14:30 We are seeking an experienced and analytical Scheduling & Purchasing Lead with at least 5 years of hands-on experience in supply chain planning, procurement, and production scheduling. In this dual-function role, you will oversee end-to-end procurement of direct/indirect materials, manage master production and purchasing schedules, and optimize inventory levels to align with operational demand. You will act as the primary bridge between production, inventory, sales, and external suppliers to ensure on-time delivery, cost efficiency, and zero operational downtime. skills required: Attitude and personality: Candidates must show a willingness to learn on and off the job with a desire for continual improvement of themselves and their workplace. The candidate must show good attention to detail as well as a strong ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Mathematics: The candidate must know how to use a scientific calculator, understand addition, subtraction, multiplication, trigonometry, and some basic algebra. Physical: You must be able to lift 45lbs to chest level. You must be prepared to stand during work hours. Problem solving: The candidate must be prepared to solve problems with the help of shop leadership. Good communication skills are necessary. Computer skills: A basic ability to use Windows computers or menu driven operating systems must be demonstrated. Responsibilities: Leadership & Team Coordination Assign daily tasks and manage shift workloads for warehouse staff. Train, coach, and cross-train team members on standard operating procedures. Enforce workplace safety rules, proper material handling, and PPE use. Escalate operational or staffing issues. Shipping Operations Oversee the packing, labeling, and staging of outgoing orders. Verify outgoing shipments match bills of lading (BOL), invoices, and work orders. Coordinate and schedule pickups with freight carriers and delivery services. Resolve shipping errors, damaged goods, or carrier claims. Receiving & Inventory Receive, inspect, and verify incoming deliveries against purchase orders and packing slips. Document shortages, overages, or damaged inventory and report discrepancies to vendors. Process inventory transactions using a Warehouse Management System (WMS) or ERP platform. Conduct routine cycle counts and assist with inventory audits. Operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks. Requirement: Experience: Minimum 5+ years of progressive experience in purchasing, procurement, production scheduling, or material planning (preferably in a manufacturing, distribution, or industrial setting).
