Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Purchasing Officer role based in Dubai-UAE. The Purchasing Officer is responsible for managing the end-to-end procurement process, including reviewing purchase requisitions, preparing and issuing purchase orders, and ensuring timely delivery of materials, equipment, and services. The role includes evaluating vendor proposals, negotiating pricing and contract terms, and maintaining supplier relationships that support quality and cost objectives. Day-to-day tasks involve tracking inventory needs, coordinating with internal departments to understand requirements, and analyzing purchasing data to optimize costs and lead times. The Purchasing Officer also ensures compliance with company policies and relevant regulations, keeps accurate records of all transactions, and contributes to continuous improvement of procurement processes.
Qualifications
• Strong understanding of purchasing processes, including experience with purchase requisitions and purchase orders.
• Demonstrated ability in contract negotiation and supplier management to secure favorable terms and reliable service.
• Analytical skills to review quotes, compare vendors, monitor costs, and support data-driven purchasing decisions.
• Attention to detail, organizational skills, and proficiency with procurement or ERP systems.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across operations, finance, and engineering teams.
• Experience in industrial, manufacturing, or environmental services sectors is beneficial.
• Relevant education such as an associate or bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Ability to work on-site in Ontario, CA and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
