Purchasing & Materials Coordinator

A growing construction and fabrication company is looking for an organized, dependable person to manage material purchasing and receiving for our custom projects. Responsibilities include: Order materials and supplies for each project Coordinate pricing, availability and delivery schedules with vendors Receive incoming materials and verify quantities Track materials and costs by job Maintain accurate purchasing and inventory records Communicate with managers and production staff Resolve missing, damaged or incorrect orders The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized and comfortable working with vendors and multiple projects at once. Purchasing, inventory, construction or manufacturing experience is preferred. Requirements: Strong organizational and time-management skills Excellent attention to detail Ability to manage materials for multiple jobs at the same time Experience ordering materials and working with vendors Ability to compare pricing, availability and delivery times Basic knowledge of construction or manufacturing materials preferred Comfortable using computers, spreadsheets and inventory-tracking systems Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to accurately receive, label and track incoming materials Able to lift and move materials when needed Reliable transportation Dependable, self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision Please submit a resume with description of your experience.
