Purchasing Manager

Overview: Elite Solar is seeking a strategic Procurement Manager to lead sourcing and procurement for our U.S. manufacturing facility, covering raw materials, production equipment, MRO supplies and services. The ideal candidate will build a reliable supplier base, drive cost competitiveness and ensure on-time material supply to support uninterrupted plant operations. Responsibilities: · Develop and execute procurement strategies and sourcing plans for raw materials, equipment, MRO and services aligned with production and business objectives. · Identify, evaluate and qualify suppliers; negotiate contracts, pricing and terms to secure competitive rates and favorable conditions; manage RFQ/RFP processes and purchase order placement. · Monitor and evaluate supplier performance (quality, delivery, cost and service); drive corrective actions and develop secondary sources to mitigate supply chain risk. · Collaborate with Production, Planning, Quality, Logistics and Finance to forecast demand, ensure material availability and optimize inventory levels. · Track commodity markets and industry trends for solar manufacturing materials; develop cost-reduction initiatives and lead supplier negotiations accordingly. · Manage contracts and procurement records; ensure compliance with company policies, trade regulations and ethical sourcing standards. · Lead capital procurement for new projects, equipment purchases and facility expansions in coordination with Engineering and Facilities teams. · Build and manage the local procurement team; develop processes and systems to improve procurement efficiency and transparency. Qualifications: · Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering or a related field. · 5+ years of procurement/sourcing experience in a manufacturing environment; solar/module or semiconductor industry experience strongly preferred. · Proven experience in supplier negotiation, contract management and cost reduction; proficient with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and MS Office. Skills & Competencies: · Strong negotiation, supplier relationship management and analytical skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. · Solid understanding of supply chain processes and trade compliance (Incoterms, import/export basics). · Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills; fluent in English, Chinese a plus.
