Job Title: Logistics & Purchasing Manager Necessary Qualifications Education : Must be at least a university graduate. Computer Skills : Must be able to use computer programs (Office MS, Word, Excel,SAP). Other Qualifications: Must be successful in human relations. Should be a problem solver and be open to suggestions. It should train and educate staff who work with it. Must be able to execute the workflow correctly. Should be able to evaluate the workflow as a whole system and able to provide coordination and balance between various functions. Must be able to work systematically and programmatically. Basic Operations Place timely purchase orders for PET resin, additives, and production consumables based on approved production plans and inventory levels. Organize and monitor the transportation of incoming raw materials and outgoing finished X-PET products to ensure timely and damage-free deliveries. Track stock levels of raw materials, semi-finished goods (rolls), and finished trays daily, and prepare inventory status reports for production and management teams. Duties and responsibilities 1- Manage the procurement of raw materials specific to X-PET production, such as PET resin, additives, and masterbatches. 2- Develop supplier networks specializing in food-grade and recycled PET materials. 3- Ensure timely supply of extrusion and thermoforming consumables (filters, blades, heating elements). 4- Coordinate the logistics of inbound raw materials and outbound finished X-PET products. 5- Negotiate contracts with suppliers of packaging materials, pads, release agents, and secondary processing materials. 6-Oversee import processes for PET resin and specialized production materials from international suppliers. 7- Monitor global PET resin markets to anticipate price changes and adjust purchasing strategies accordingly. 8- Implement procurement strategies that optimize material quality, cost, and delivery timelines. 9- Plan warehouse operations for raw material, semi-finished rolls, and finished X-PET trays. 10- Ensure strict FIFO (First In, First Out) practices are maintained, especially for time-sensitive materials. 11-Collaborate with the production team to forecast material needs based on production planning and seasonal demand spikes. 12- Manage logistics providers for both local and international shipments of X-PET goods. 13-Ensure compliance with food safety standards (e.g., SQF, FDA) in logistics and purchasing activities. 14-Monitor and optimize transportation routes for cost, speed, and product safety (preventing deformation or contamination). 15-Develop and maintain accurate inventory records for raw materials, semi-finished, and finished X-PET products. 16-Implement supplier evaluation programs focusing on food-grade compliance and material certification. 17-Organize regular audits of supplier quality, sustainability, and traceability. 18- Coordinate return logistics for recyclable X-PET scrap materials from customers or distributors. 19- Develop contingency plans for supply chain disruptions affecting PET availability or shipping logistics. 20-Lead initiatives to source more sustainable or recycled PET materials aligned with corporate sustainability goals. 21-Establish transportation protocols for sensitive products to avoid warping, yellowing, or contamination. 22-Oversee the correct customs classifications (HS Codes) for PET raw materials and semi-finished products. 23-Manage relationships with pallet, carton, and packaging material suppliers for finished X-PET product distribution. 24-Analyze freight costs and negotiate annual contracts with logistics partners. 25-Work closely with finance to ensure purchasing and logistics align with budgetary targets and cash flow management. 26-Implement and manage ERP systems specialized for manufacturing and supply chain tracking (e.g., SAP). 27-Generate regular reports on material consumption, purchasing savings, inventory turnover rates, and logistics KPI’s. 28-Monitor a…
