Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Purchasing Manager to lead our procurement operations and help drive continued growth . In this pivotal role, you will oversee sourcing strategies, manage vendor relationships, and ensure the timely acquisition of materials and services. Your expertise will drive cost efficiencies, uphold quality standards, and support our commitment to delivering top-tier modular solutions across global markets. This is a hands-on leadership position overseeing a team of two Buyers while working closely with Operations, Production, Sales, Engineering, and Finance. The Purchasing Manager will be responsible for securing materials and supplies at competitive costs while maintaining quality, inventory levels, and reliable delivery schedules. Key Responsibilities Lead, manage, and develop a purchasing team of two Buyers. Develop and implement purchasing strategies that support company production and financial objectives. Manage key supplier relationships, negotiations, pricing, contracts, and performance. Purchase raw materials, components, packaging, and other production-related materials. Ensure materials are available to support production schedules and customer commitments. Monitor inventory levels, purchasing requirements, lead times, and supplier capacity. Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, and other supplier agreements. Identify and implement cost-reduction opportunities. Develop strong, long-term relationships with key suppliers. Monitor supplier quality, delivery performance, and responsiveness. Work closely with Production and Operations to resolve material shortages and supply issues. Partner with Finance on purchasing budgets, cost analysis, and inventory objectives. Maintain accurate purchasing records, pricing information, and supplier documentation. Track purchasing and supplier performance through meaningful KPIs. Identify supply-chain risks and develop alternative sourcing strategies when appropriate. Assist with new product development and qualification of new suppliers. Establish purchasing procedures and hold the purchasing team accountable for performance. Qualifications 5+ years of purchasing, procurement, or supply-chain experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment . Proven experience negotiating with suppliers and managing vendor relationships. Strong understanding of inventory management, purchasing practices, and manufacturing supply chains. Experience with Syteline ERP/MRP systems strongly preferred. Strong understanding of MRP planning, purchasing, inventory control, and production requirements. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and negotiation abilities. Ability to balance cost, quality, inventory, and delivery requirements. Strong leadership skills with the ability to work effectively across departments. Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Operations, or a related field preferred.
