Purchasing Manager -

We're seeking a hands-on procurement leader to build alignment between operations, project teams, and suppliers while driving accountability, execution, and continuous improvement. This is not a role for someone who simply delegates work and reviews reports. We're looking for a leader who enjoys solving problems, coaching teams, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring projects have what they need to succeed. This is an opportunity to lead a regional procurement function for a growing organization delivering complex projects where schedule, quality, risk management, and supplier partnerships matter. What You'll Do As the leader of procurement for the region, you will: Lead all regional purchasing and procurement operations. Develop, mentor, and support a team of buyers and procurement professionals. Build a culture of responsiveness, accountability, and exceptional internal customer service. Partner closely with Project Managers, Engineers, Estimators, Operations, and Field Leadership to develop procurement strategies that support successful project delivery. Drive project buyouts and major sourcing initiatives. Identify procurement risks and long-lead material challenges before they impact project schedules. Maintain visibility into supplier performance, critical orders, inventory status, and material availability. Manage supplier relationships and negotiate favorable commercial outcomes. Support complex sourcing efforts, supplier escalations, and high-impact procurement decisions. Improve procurement systems, processes, and workflows to increase efficiency and scalability. Ensure strong purchasing controls, documentation, and execution standards across the organization. Qualifications Proven leadership experience within procurement, purchasing, supply chain, construction, manufacturing, project management, or a related operational environment. Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills. Demonstrated success managing competing priorities in deadline-driven environments. Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and standard business systems.
