This role oversees strategic sourcing, contract negotiations, purchasing operations, and supplier performance while working closely with clinical departments, finance, administration, and operational teams. The ideal candidate has strong procurement management experience, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to balance cost, quality, compliance, and delivery requirements. Experience with healthcare procurement, supply chain management, and enterprise resource planning systems is highly valued. Key Responsibilities Lead procurement management, strategic sourcing, and category management from initial requirements gathering through supplier selection and contract execution. Manage supplier relationships, vendor agreements, procurement contracts, and ongoing contract administration. Conduct direct negotiations with suppliers regarding pricing, contract terms, product specifications, delivery schedules, and service expectations. Coordinate with clinical departments, administrative teams, finance, logistics, and operations to identify purchasing requirements. Oversee the procurement of medical supplies, healthcare equipment, clinical materials, and general operational resources. Monitor inventory availability, purchasing schedules, and supply continuity to support daily healthcare operations. Utilize enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, including SAP or Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS), to manage purchasing activities and procurement data. Apply material requirements planning (MRP) and e-procurement systems to improve purchasing accuracy and operational efficiency. Evaluate supplier performance based on product quality, pricing, delivery reliability, and contractual obligations. Apply root cause analysis to investigate supplier issues, product quality concerns, and delivery disruptions. Monitor procurement budgets, analyze purchasing costs, and identify cost-reduction opportunities. Maintain accurate purchasing records, contracts, supplier documentation, and procurement reports. Ensure procurement activities comply with applicable regulations, healthcare standards, and internal purchasing policies. Lead procurement improvement initiatives and establish effective sourcing and supplier management procedures. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Procurement, Finance, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement management, supply chain management, or supplier management. Demonstrated experience in strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, and vendor relationship management. Strong knowledge of procurement contracts, pricing strategies, contract administration, and purchasing procedures. Familiarity with ERP platforms, including SAP, Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS), MRP, and e-procurement systems. Understanding of materials management, inventory control, logistics, and supply chain operations. Knowledge of quality management, procurement compliance, and supplier performance evaluation. Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Ability to collaborate across multiple departments and manage competing procurement priorities. Experience in healthcare purchasing, medical supply procurement, manufacturing, or public-sector procurement is preferred. Familiarity with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) is an advantage where applicable.
