Purchasing Manager

Job Summary: The Purchasing Manager oversees procurement activities to ensure the timely, cost-effective acquisition of materials and services. This role develops sourcing strategies, manages supplier relationships, and supports operational needs through effective purchasing practices. Responsibilities: Develop and implement purchasing strategies aligned with organizational needs. Identify, evaluate, and manage suppliers, including negotiating pricing and contract terms. Monitor production schedule, purchase orders, and delivery schedules. Review purchasing data and market trends to identify cost-saving opportunities. Collaborate with internal teams to forecast demand and resolve supply issues. Ensure purchasing activities follow applicable policies and procedures. Prepare reports on procurement performance, spending, and supplier activity. Qualifications: Experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management. Strong negotiation, communication, and supplier relationship skills. Ability to analyze costs, market information, and purchasing data. Proficiency with excel spreadsheets. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to juggle high volume, manage priorities and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
