Our client is a Surrey based, multi-site, food manufacturing company. We are seeking an experienced Purchasing Manager to lead purchasing and procurement activities across multiple food manufacturing sites and to lead a team. This role will be responsible for developing and executing purchasing strategies that optimize cost, quality, service, and supply continuity while supporting the operational and growth objectives of the business. Responsibilities Develop and execute purchasing strategies across multiple manufacturing sites to achieve cost, quality, service, and supply objectives. Lead the procurement of key food ingredients, commodities, packaging materials, and operational supplies. Manage supplier relationships, negotiations, contracts, pricing, and performance. Identify cost-saving and value-engineering opportunities while maintaining product quality and food safety standards. Monitor commodity markets, pricing trends, supply risks, and market conditions to inform purchasing decisions. Establish and maintain strong relationships with strategic and key suppliers. Negotiate pricing, payment terms, lead times, minimum order quantities, and supply agreements. Other as required Requirements: 5+ years of progressive purchasing/procurement experience, within food manufacturing or a related CPG manufacturing environment. Post-secondary education in Supply Chain, Procurement, Business, Operations, or a related field is preferred. Proven experience negotiating pricing, contracts, and commercial terms with suppliers. Experience managing purchasing activities across multiple sites, facilities, or business units is an asset. Strong analytical and financial skills, with the ability to analyze spend, pricing, forecasts, and cost savings. Salary 100-120,000 base depending on experience.
