Purchasing Manager

WE'RE HIRING: PURCHASING OFFICER Danco Construction, Inc. | Seguin, TX Danco Construction, Inc. is looking for a motivated, organized, and detail-oriented Purchasing Officer to join our team!This position plays an important role in keeping our projects and shop operations running smoothly by coordinating material purchases, managing inventory, and working closely with our Project Managers and shop personnel. Key Responsibilities: Coordinate with Project Managers and shop personnel to identify material needs for upcoming and active projects. Maintain accurate yard inventory records, monitor stock levels, and verify available materials before placing orders to avoid unnecessary purchases. Inspect and verify incoming material deliveries, including checking quantities and items received against purchase orders and delivery tickets, and reporting any discrepancies. Request and compare vendor quotes to secure competitive pricing. Prepare, process, and track purchase orders. Coordinate with vendors regarding pricing, availability, and delivery schedules. Follow up on outstanding orders to ensure timely delivery. Maintain accurate purchasing records and documentation. Communicate effectively across departments to ensure materials are available when needed. Qualifications: Previous purchasing or procurement experience preferred. Construction or steel fabrication experience is a plus. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Smartsheet is essential. Familiarity with STRUMIS is a plus. Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills. Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask and prioritize.
