Purchasing Manager

Division 4 | Knoxville, TN Lead the strategy. Build strong partnerships. Keep operations moving. Century Fire Protection is looking for an experienced Purchasing Manager to oversee procurement, manage vendor relationships, and lead our purchasing team. You'll play a key role in controlling costs, maintaining reliable material supply, and keeping projects on track. ️ What You’ll Do Develop purchasing strategies to control costs and ensure reliable material availability. Oversee purchase orders, vendor negotiations, and contract management. Lead, coach, and develop purchasing staff. Evaluate vendors based on pricing, quality, service, and reliability. Monitor inventory and coordinate with operations to forecast material needs. Ensure purchasing activities follow company policies, contracts, and applicable regulations. Resolve vendor issues involving pricing, delivery, quality, and service. Analyze purchasing data and report on costs, savings, and supplier performance. What You Bring High school diploma or equivalent. 5+ years of purchasing, procurement, or supply chain experience. Supervisory or project management experience preferred. Strong negotiation, organization, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel. Ability to manage priorities, build vendor relationships, and support business goals. The Job Primarily office-based work with regular sitting, standing, and walking. Frequent communication with vendors and internal teams. Occasional climbing, reaching, and lifting up to 25 lbs.
