Purchasing & Inventory Specialist Hybrid – DeForest, WI | Monday–Friday | $20–$22/hour Are you detail-oriented, organized, and enjoy solving problems? Do you like working with numbers, managing priorities, and collaborating with others? Demco is looking for a Purchasing & Inventory Specialist I to join our team! At Demco, we support libraries and learning communities by providing the products and solutions they need to thrive. Our Supply Chain team plays an important role in ensuring products are available when our customers need them. In this entry-level role, you'll help manage inventory, coordinate with suppliers, and support purchasing decisions that keep our operations running smoothly. This is a hybrid position requiring onsite work at our DeForest, WI, facility every Wednesday, at a minimum. What You'll Do Create and manage purchase orders to ensure products are ordered accurately and on time. Monitor inventory levels and purchasing recommendations to help maintain product availability. Communicate with suppliers regarding order status, delivery dates, backorders, and lead times. Adjust purchase orders as customer demand and inventory needs change. Help resolve stock availability and dropship order issues. Partner with Sales, Customer Service, and Supply Chain coworkers to support customer needs. Identify potential inventory or supplier issues and work with the team to find solutions. Learn and use inventory management systems and purchasing processes to improve accuracy and efficiency. What You'll Bring High school diploma or equivalent. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities. Experience with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to learn new software and processes quickly. Problem-solving skills and a willingness to take initiative. A collaborative attitude, accountability, and a desire to learn and grow. Bonus Points If You Have: Previous purchasing, inventory management, or supply chain experience. Familiarity with material requirements planning (MRP) or inventory management systems. Why Join Demco?
