Purchasing & Inventory Coordinator Hanover Lantern – Hanover, PA Job Type: Full-Time | On-Site Pay: Based on experience About the Position Hanover Lantern, an established American manufacturer of outdoor lighting, is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented individual to coordinate purchasing, improve inventory control, and assist with production coordination. The ideal candidate will have manufacturing purchasing experience, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work closely with suppliers and our production team. Key Responsibilities Purchasing (Primary Focus) Purchase materials and components needed for manufacturing. Negotiate supplier pricing and identify cost-saving opportunities. Monitor vendor pricing, lead times, and delivery performance. Identify alternative suppliers and purchasing opportunities. Ensure materials are ordered and available when needed. Assist with material costing and price updates. Inventory Control (Secondary Focus) Maintain accurate inventory records and stock levels. Perform routine cycle counts and resolve discrepancies. Improve inventory receiving, picking, and issuing procedures. Monitor inventory levels to prevent shortages and excess stock. Production Coordination Work with Production to ensure materials are available for scheduled orders. Communicate material shortages and delivery delays. Help improve production workflow and on-time customer deliveries. Qualifications Previous purchasing or inventory experience in a manufacturing environment preferred. Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Experience with inventory or ERP software. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
