Role Description The Purchasing Director is a part-time, remote role responsible for overseeing all purchasing and procurement activities that support the fund’s operations and film financing processes. This role manages vendor selection, contract negotiation, and purchasing strategies to ensure cost-effective, compliant, and timely acquisition of goods and services. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing purchasing policies, evaluating supplier proposals, monitoring purchase orders, and maintaining strong relationships with key vendors and service providers. The Purchasing Director collaborates with finance, legal, and production stakeholders to align purchasing decisions with budget, risk management, and project timelines. The role also involves tracking purchasing performance metrics, identifying opportunities for process improvement, and ensuring documentation and records meet regulatory and internal standards. Qualifications Strong knowledge of purchasing processes and purchasing best practices, with the ability to design and optimize workflows and policies. Proven experience in purchase management and procurement, including vendor selection, supplier evaluation, and cost control. Demonstrated skill in purchasing and contract negotiation, with the ability to secure favorable terms while managing risk. Background in financial services, private credit, or similar investment environments; experience in media or film-related purchasing is a plus. Ability to work independently in a remote, part-time capacity while managing multiple priorities and deadlines. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with attention to detail and accuracy in documentation. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; relevant professional certifications in procurement or purchasing are an advantage.
