Purchasing Coordinator

Job Overview Whitecap International Seafood Exporters is an established seafood marketing company that exports a wide range of seafood products globally. We are currently seeking a Purchasing Coordinato r to join our team in St. John’s, Newfoundland & Labrador, Canada. Reporting to Whitecap’s Senior Purchasing Manager, you will: Work collaboratively with suppliers to collect information and ensure accuracy of purchase orders Communicate internally with QA and technical staff for accurate and current product information Setup purchase orders & send confirmations to suppliers for new orders Create new vendors, input new products, and upload documents into accounting system Work with colleagues to ensure timely and accurate receipt of purchases Provide information to warehouses for inbounding and accurate receipt of products Maintain product traceability for accurate records and any purchase order revisions Liaise with seafood suppliers, internal sales, QA, and Whitecap management We are looking for a highly motivated candidate who: · Can thrive in a fast-paced, office environment · Is a team player, who can build relationships with a professional, mature and positive attitude · Is extremely detailed and organized with strong written and verbal communication skills · Is proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, Outlook · Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics 365 also considered an asset Purchasing experience, experience in the seafood industry, university/college education all considered assets during the selection process.
