Overview We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Purchasing Coordinator to join our team! In this vital role, you will manage procurement activities, coordinate with vendors, and optimize inventory levels to ensure seamless operations. Your expertise in supply chain management systems and vendor relationships will drive efficiency and support our growth. Duties Manage purchasing activities using ERP systems such as SAP, JD Edwards, Oracle EBS, and other materials management tools Coordinate procurement efforts for various product lines, ensuring timely sourcing and delivery of materials Communicate effectively with vendors to negotiate pricing, lead times, and terms while maintaining strong vendor relationships Monitor inventory levels through inventory management software and adjust purchasing strategies accordingly Support logistics planning by collaborating with supply chain teams to optimize delivery schedules and reduce costs Analyze Excel data for procurement trends, pricing fluctuations, and supplier performance metrics Assist in implementing procurement policies within purchasing management systems to streamline workflows Skills Proficiency with ERP systems including SAP, SAP ERP, JD Edwards, Oracle EBS, and AS400 platforms Strong understanding of materials management, inventory control, and supply chain processes Experience with vendor communication, negotiation, and relationship management Skilled in using spreadsheets (Excel) for data analysis and reporting purposes Knowledge of procurement best practices such as sourcing strategies and direct negotiation techniques Familiarity with logistics coordination, production planning, pricing strategies, and merchandising concepts Ability to support purchasing management systems technically while collaborating across departments Join us at CDI Doors to be part of a forward-thinking team dedicated to innovation in the construction supply industry!
