Purchasing Coordinator

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Purchasing Coordinator to join our team. Responsibilities Manage purchase orders using ERP systems, ensuring accuracy and timely processing. Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts that align with company objectives. Maintain effective communication with vendors to track order status, resolve discrepancies, and foster strong vendor relationships. Oversee inventory levels through inventory management systems and MRP (Material Requirements Planning) tools to prevent shortages or excess stock. Analyze Excel data and spreadsheets for procurement trends, pricing analysis, and cost-saving opportunities. Support procurement activities by sourcing new suppliers, evaluating vendor performance, and conducting direct negotiation for procurement needs. Collaborate with logistics teams to coordinate delivery schedules, optimize supply chain workflows, and ensure inventory control. Experience Strong background in materials management, supply chain management, and purchasing management systems supported by technical expertise. Demonstrated ability in vendor negotiation, vendor relationship management, and contract administration. Familiarity with inventory control practices, logistics coordination, and procurement strategies including sourcing and pricing negotiations. Proficiency in using spreadsheets and Excel for data analysis and reporting purposes. Prior experience supporting procurement or purchasing functions within manufacturing or distribution environments is highly desirable.
