Purchasing Coordinator

Purchasing Coordinator Larson Systems Inc. | Ham Lake, MN Full-time, hourly | Starting wage ~ $25/hour Larson Systems Inc. is looking for a Purchasing Coordinator to help keep our orders organized and our shop supplied. This person will enter purchase orders, confirm details with vendors, and follow up until materials or finished parts are received. We need someone who is accurate, organized, and comfortable contacting vendors when an order is late or something doesn’t look right. Following through is a big part of this job. The position reports to our Purchaser, who approves all purchases and order changes. What You’ll Do Enter and send approved purchase orders for components, raw materials, tooling, and outside services such as painting, heat treating, plating, powder coating, and anodizing. Confirm pricing, quantities, instructions, and delivery dates with vendors. Keep track of open orders and follow up on missing or late items. Work with shipping and receiving to track parts sent out for services and returned to LSI. Assist with receiving deliveries, checking quantities and reporting damaged, missing, or incorrect items. Help resolve differences between purchase orders, invoices, and deliveries. Keep purchasing records organized and keep the Purchaser and affected employees informed of problems. What We’re Looking For Accurate order entry and typing skills. Clear spoken and written communication with vendors and coworkers. Basic math skills to check quantities, prices, and totals. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Outlook, and Word. Good organization and attention to detail. Ability to track several orders and follow up without repeated reminders. Willingness to learn our products, systems, and outside services. Experience in purchasing support, order entry, shipping and receiving office work, or a manufacturing office is preferred.
