Purchasing Coordinator

K.G. International (KGI) is a leading distributor of Chemicals, Ingredients and Packaging Materials for a wide range of industries, including Cleaning, Personal Care, Food & Beverage, and Pharma & Nutraceuticals. We are headquartered in Miami, Florida and have been serving customers throughout the Americas since 1982. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional for the position of Purchasing Coordinator. Responsibilities for the position include: Assist Purchasing Department with various tasks and functions, including requesting quotes from vendors and freight companies, requesting samples and documentation, and tracking domestic and international shipments. Work with the Purchasing Team by being able to process and enter a large volume of orders. Aid with inventory management. Assist with sourcing new vendors and products. Support our Sales Team with administrative and clerical tasks. Interface with all internal departments, including Warehouse, Customer Service & Logistics, Sales, and Accounting, as well as outside service providers, such as custom brokers. Fluency in both English and Spanish is required for this position. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of purchasing experience, particularly relating to the chemical and/or packaging industries. Experience with overseas vendors, customers and transactions, including with respect to imports, is strongly preferred for this position.
