In this role, you'll be responsible for sourcing parts, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring critical materials are available when they're needed most. About the Role As a Branch Buyer, you'll play a key role in ensuring the branch has the parts and materials needed to support customers and operations. You'll work closely with suppliers and internal teams to maintain inventory, manage purchasing activities, and help keep business running efficiently. Responsibilities Source products and identify qualified suppliers to meet operational needs. Create, issue, and manage purchase orders. Research parts, pricing, and availability to make cost-effective purchasing decisions. Update pricing, lead times, and supplier information within the ERP system (P21). Monitor open purchase orders and expedite deliveries when necessary. Communicate with suppliers to resolve order, receiving, and invoice discrepancies. Maintain accurate purchasing records and supplier communications. Support inventory management, warehouse operations, and logistics as needed. Provide backup support for the Parts Professional role when required. Assist with additional operational projects and responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications 3+ years of purchasing or procurement experience. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Additional language skills are a plus. Experience in industrial, automotive, heavy equipment, aviation, or parts distribution is highly preferred. Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. A proactive, solution-oriented mindset and commitment to customer service. Required Skills Strong supplier relationship management and negotiation skills. Ability to make sound purchasing decisions within established guidelines. Problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve purchasing and supply issues effectively. A collaborative attitude and willingness to support cross-functional teams. A commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence.
