Position Summary Profab Electronics is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Purchasing Assistant to support our quality electronics manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have experience assisting with vendor communications, purchase order management, pricing inquiries, shipment tracking, and inventory support to help ensure the smooth operation of our supply chain and manufacturing processes. This position requires supporting purchasing activities while ensuring compliance with ISO standards, customer requirements, regulatory obligations, and internal quality objectives. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong attention to detail, organization, communication skills, and a commitment to operational excellence. Key Responsibilities Assist with the preparation and processing of purchase orders and requisitions. Communicate with vendors to obtain pricing, lead times, and product availability. Maintain strong working relationships with suppliers and support vendor management activities. Follow up on purchase orders to confirm receipt and ensure timely deliveries. Track shipments and coordinate with vendors and freight carriers regarding delivery status. Assist in monitoring inventory levels and material requirements to support production schedules. Maintain accurate purchasing records, supplier information, and documentation. Support the sourcing of materials and components for new and existing projects. Communicate potential delivery delays or supply issues to the Purchasing and Production teams. Assist with cost comparisons and supplier evaluations. Perform data entry and reporting functions related to purchasing activities. Perform other administrative and purchasing-related duties as assigned. Required Qualifications · Applicants must be a U.S. Person (U.S Citizen or Permanent Resident) Experience in purchasing, procurement, supply chain, inventory control, administrative support, or a related manufacturing environment. Strong organizational and time-management skills with excellent attention to detail. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Outlook. Ability to learn and effectively, purchasing, and inventory management software. Ability to communicate professionally with vendors, suppliers, internal teams, and other business partners. Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
