Purchasing and shipping clerk

Paramount Components is hiring! We are reinventing what it means to work in sheet metal! We currently have an urgent need to train and hire a Purchasing and Shipping Administration clerk. This person will be responsible for supporting customers, suppliers, engineering and sales with quoting, purchasing, and supporting our admin team. Requirements A good attitude, willing to learn, reliable, professional, team player. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficient in ERP and MRP systems helpful or experience with them. Office enviroment and customer service experience is helpful. Minor purchasing experience is an asset. Customer service and order entry and attention to detal is helpful. Minor shipping, packing slip and recieving experience is an asset. Minor sheet metal, assembly or similar industry experience is an asset in purchasing basic components, using shipping companies and material type and understanding. Job duties: Your job duties will be in an admin support role. This position requires training, development, and excellence in the following duties, and while experience is an asset in sheet metal, we will train the right person. Job quoting, cost reviews, invoicing, receiving, ERP and MRP purchasing and order entry, admin support for accounting, data entry, greet and assist visitors, customers, and suppliers. Compensation: Compensation will depend on experience. Sheet metal industry, purchasing, quoting and customer service roles will be prefered and dictate wages. Shifts: We are very flexible at Paramount and want to ensure our team members can meeting family obligations, spend time outside of work doing what they love with flexibility to make their personal commitments. Our standard Day shift is 8:00am-4:30pm Monday to Friday and our shop opens at 6:00 am. We will work with what works for you if you need 9-5, 7-3 etc we can accommodate once you are trained. Experience: Any experience in a customer service role, ERP, MRP, purchasing, sales, quoting, is prefered. Professionalism is a must. Why work for Paramount Components?
