Solid work experience in purchasing, ideally in a similar industry.
Strong communication, organization and collaboration skills.
Self-starter with good instinct for negotiation.
Challenges awaiting you:
Purchasing & Procurement
- Source and purchase electrical materials and supplies in alignment with branch requirements and customer demand.
- Issue purchase orders, verify pricing, and ensure timely order placement with vendors.
- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers to support competitive pricing and reliable product availability.
- Review purchasing reports, recommend stock adjustments, and assist with demand forecasting.
Expediting & Order Management
- Monitor open purchase orders and follow up with vendors to ensure on-time delivery.
- Resolve shipping delays, shortages, and discrepancies in collaboration with suppliers and internal teams.
- Communicate delivery updates to the sales teams.
- Work with vendors to improve lead times and proactively prevent stockouts.
Inventory Control & Cycle Counting
- Perform scheduled cycle counts and investigate variances.
- Coordinate with warehouse staff to maintain accurate inventory records and proper product identification.
- Analyze inventory data to identify slow-moving, obsolete, or overstocked items.
