ModineerJob Title : Purchasing Analyst Reports to: Purchasing Manager of Business Unit FLSA Status: EXEMPT Schedule: 8am – 5pm; Monday-Friday Extended hours may be required to support business needs Job Role and Responsibilities: Manage on-hand inventory position. Align goals and functions of the purchasing department based on company inventory needs, and sales projections. Work on strategy to reduce or increase inventory where needed, depending on the dynamic demand. Coordinate activities for buying, distributing, and purchasing materials, supplies, and services. Interface with other departments as required to ensure process completion, and compliance with applicable policies (safety, environmental, insurance, financial, purchasing, etc.). Understand the top 20% top and bottom of vendor list. Identify opportunities for growth. Help to improve lower performing vendors, or begin sourcing for replacement. Experience, or willing to learn software, including: Net Suite, Pro-Management, and Sage 50, and ensure team uses tools efficiently. Constantly research the industry landscape and be aware of changing trends, and new technology. Maintain and execute Schedule to ensure team’s resources are focused appropriately to the most critical business needs. Responsible for building, and maintaining strong internal relationships and external vendor relationships. Understanding the tools for buying practices to ensure Marson is sourcing from the right vendors and the right cost. Forecasting parts and/or finished goods. Commitment and supportive of ISO 9001:2015 Standard and Certification. Achieving quality and cost targets Qualifications/Skills: Proficient Microsoft Office knowledge and skills. Strong time management, organizational skills including multi-tasking, and managing multiple projects/tasks. Knowledge, and experience with Sage 50, and Net Suite software is a plus. High degree of attention to detail. Great team player. Critical thinker, and problem-solving skills. Effective written and communication skills. Excellent negotiation skills. Order follow-up, and analyzing data. Ability to drive a project forward and work independently. Strong understanding of the market conditions and trends. Working knowledge of negotiation techniques in the industry Education Requirements: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in related field, or equivalent work experience.
