Boutique RecruitingPosition Title : Purchasing Agent Join an established, family-owned manufacturing and distribution company where your work has a visible impact. We are seeking an experienced Purchasing Agent to manage day-to-day purchasing execution, international supplier coordination, purchase orders, and inbound shipments. This role will work extensively in NetSuite to maintain accurate purchasing data, monitor open orders, coordinate with overseas vendors and logistics partners, and support efficient inventory and supply chain operations. The Ideal Candidate Is a Detail-driven Purchasing Professional With Strong NetSuite Experience, International Sourcing Exposure, And The Initiative To Identify Problems, Improve Processes, And Keep Multiple Orders Moving Without Losing Track Of The Details. Salary Range: $60,000 - $80,000 / Year DOE Responsibilities Execute purchases through established domestic and international vendors, maintaining accurate pricing, quantities, lead times, and delivery terms in NetSuite Monitor open purchase orders, vendor confirmations, shipment schedules, and delivery dates while proactively communicating delays, shortages, and potential risks Coordinate international shipments with overseas suppliers, freight forwarders and customs brokers, ensuring shipping and import documentation remains accurate Maintain purchase orders, receipts, item records, vendor information and landed costs while resolving pricing, quantity and documentation discrepancies Support import compliance by applying established HTS classifications and monitoring duties, tariffs, and other import requirements Partner with accounting on three-way matching between purchase orders, receipts, and vendor invoices Use inventory, open-PO and vendor-aging reports to support purchasing decisions, inventory planning, reorder points, safety stock and forecasting Requirements 3+ years of purchasing, procurement, or supply chain experience involving overseas suppliers Hands-on NetSuite proficiency, particularly with purchasing, purchase orders, receipts, item records, and vendor management Experience coordinating international orders, supplier follow-up, lead times, and inbound shipments Working knowledge of import logistics, Incoterms, HTS classifications, and U.S. customs processes Strong Microsoft Excel skills for purchasing analysis, tracking and reporting Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate purchasing and inventory records Strong written and verbal communication, organization, initiative, and practical problem-solving skills Benefits Medical, dental, and vision insurance with increasing employer medical contributions based on tenure SIMPLE IRA with company match of up to 3% Two weeks of PTO to start with additional PTO earned based on tenure 10 paid holidays Stable, long-tenured team and family-owned company environment Opportunity to take on greater responsibility and make a direct impact on processes and operational efficiency If you are an experienced purchasing professional who knows NetSuite, understands international sourcing, and takes pride in getting the details right, apply today to bring your expertise to a team where your work will make a measurable difference.
