Purchasing Agent - Buyer

Summary Accurately and professionally represent the company by communicating with our customers, suppliers, and Account Managers alike in the development of customer orders. Provide research, pricing, purchasing, and follow-up while projecting a positive, professional, and supportive attitude. This position is a multi-function, extremely fast paced, full-time position. Accuracy for data entry and verification of your work is extremely important. Responsibilities & Tasks Include Purchasing of Apparel and Promotional Products – Dealing with our various suppliers. Incoming and outgoing phone calls from account managers and vendors. Setting up new suppliers for purchasing. Scheduling appointments with suppliers for on-site visits. Maintain a virtual library of key catalogs and price lists using Google Sheets. Follow-up via phone and email on back-ordered items with customer service and suppliers. Organize and maintain an orderly workspace. Verify the accuracy of pricing and purchase orders. Approve accounts payable invoices for payment verifying the PO pricing is the same as the invoice. Research Promotional Products as needed in SAGE software.
