Purchasing Agent

Overview We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Purchasing Agent to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing procurement activities, negotiating with vendors, and ensuring the timely acquisition of materials and services essential for operational success. Your expertise in purchasing and materials management will drive efficiency, cost savings, and strong vendor relationships. Duties Collaborate with internal departments to determine procurement needs and specifications Conduct direct negotiations with vendors to secure optimal pricing, terms, and delivery schedules Maintain effective communication with vendors to ensure timely order fulfillment and resolve any supply issues Manage supplier relationships through regular performance reviews and vendor relationship management practices Analyze Excel data and spreadsheets to identify cost-saving opportunities and optimize procurement strategies Support inventory management initiatives by monitoring stock levels, conducting cycle counts, and implementing inventory control measures Coordinate with supply chain management teams to streamline procurement processes within MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems Experience Proven experience in purchasing or procurement roles within manufacturing or supply chain environments Knowledge of materials management, inventory control, and supply chain management principles Demonstrated ability in vendor negotiation, sourcing, and vendor relationship management Proficiency in using spreadsheets and Excel for data analysis and reporting purposes Experience supporting purchasing management systems and procurement software tools Excellent communication skills for vendor interaction and internal collaboration Ability to analyze pricing strategies and leverage supply chain insights for cost efficiencies Join us as a Purchasing Agent and become a vital part of our mission to optimize procurement operations while fostering strong vendor partnerships.
