PURCHASING AGENT
Nishikawa Cooper LLCSUMMARY Purchases, receives, stores, and issues equipment, material, supplies, or tools, and complies stock records in stockroom, by performing the following duties. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Must have been trained in Hazardous communication and right to know. Counts, sorts, or weighs incoming articles to verify receipt of items on requisitions or invoices. Stores articles in bins, on floor, or on shelves, according to identifying information such as style, size, or type of material. Fills orders to issues supplies from stock. Performs inventory of stock. Initiates purchase order process to receive material, supplies, and MRO items needed to support production. Contacts vendors for quotes to initiate cost savings and track those savings. Adjustments of inventory counts. Data entry of material checked out and received in. Marks identifying codes, figures, or letters on articles. Identify obsolete parts and works with outside vendors and internal groups to know what we can use to replace obsolete parts. Distributes methods of storage, identification, and stock location and considering temperature. Maintains inventory and other stock records. Work closely with maintenance team to ensure spending at the correct time along with stock level. Stives for continuous improvement in all areas of material management. Maintains housekeeping in work area. Must maintain regular and acceptable attendance in accordance with our attendance policy. Must be regularly available and willing to work at least 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week, or such other hours per day or hours per week as is determined necessary or desirable to meet our business needs. Must be available and willing to work such overtime per day or per week as the supervisor determines is necessary or desirable to meet our business needs. Must be committed to a high standard of safety and be willing to comply with all safety laws and all our safety policies and rules. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High School Diploma, G.E.D. or comparable from country of origin or at least 3 years of Nisco experience.
