Military & Commercial Fasteners Corp.Job Description Job Title: Purchasing Administrator Department: Purchasing Reports To: Purchasing Manager FLSA Status: Non-exempt JOB SUMMARY The Purchasing Administrator is responsible for Purchase Order entry, maintenance and accuracy within the Purchasing Department. The role requires a general understanding of Purchasing and PO requirements. The Purchasing Administrator will work closely with the Buyers to ensure that PO’s are up-to-date and that all potential issues are addressed in a timely manner. The role requires interaction with other company departments and personnel. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES · Enter and process Purchasing PO’s · Verify and confirm accuracy of PO’s · Follow up on PO dates & current PO status with Suppliers/Vendors · Ensure that PO dates are reflected accurately in the system · Monitor Open Purchase Order Log and identify potential issues · Report issues regarding Suppliers/Vendors · Maintain and update Purchasing database, to include Supplier/Vendor information and PO records · Communicate and coordinate with the Purchasing Team to ensure all are in-the-know regarding PO status and potential issues · Provide assistance as needed to the Purchasing Team in support of special projects and hot issues SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES · N/A QUALIFICATIONS · Proficient typing/data entry skills · Basic understanding of procurement principles and practices · Good organizational skills and attention to detail · Strong communication and interpersonal skills · Team player with collaborative approach Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE · High school diploma or equivalent · Preferred experience in data entry and working in office environment CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATAIONS N/A INTERPERSONAL SKILLS Ability to build rapport with customers and coworkers and to project a calm, positive image while under stress and dealing with difficult problems and people.
